Privacy Policy

At Vesile we respect your privacy. This policy explains how your personal data is collected, used and protected when you use the app. The information notice under Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) is below. If the Turkish and English versions differ, the Turkish version prevails.
1. Data we collect
- Account information: name, phone number, e-mail address when you sign in with Google, birth date, gender and match preferences.
- Profile content: profile photos, voice introduction and the texts you write about yourself.
- Survey data: your personality survey answers and the psychometric profile computed from them.
- Location: when you allow it, your device location, so you can be matched with people near you.
- Match, chat and meeting data: your matches and compatibility scores, messages and voice messages, meeting proposals and your feedback after a meeting.
- Verification selfie: the selfie you take when you choose to verify your account, and the result of comparing it with your profile photo.
- Subscription information: your plan and store transaction identifiers. Your card details are processed by the App Store or Google Play and never reach us.
- Device and usage information: device model, operating system, app version, push token, session records and in-app preferences.
- Support and safety records: reports, support correspondence and records of the consents you gave.
2. How we use data
- Create your account, verify your phone number and manage your sessions
- Calculate personality compatibility scores and match you with compatible people
- Provide chat, meeting planning and place suggestions
- Send notifications about matches and messages
- Apply your subscription entitlements
- Keep the service safe and prevent fake accounts and abuse
- Improve the app and meet legal obligations
3. What other users see
Your matches see your name, your photos (coming into focus as the chat progresses), your age, the compatibility score and the traits you share. Your detailed survey answers, phone number, birth date and exact location are never shown to any user. Your contact details are passed to the other person only if both of you agree to share them for a meeting.
4. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data. Your data is shared only with the infrastructure providers we use to run the service, and only as far as their service requires:

Data may be disclosed to competent public authorities where the law requires it.
5. Data security
All connections are encrypted (TLS). We do not use passwords: you sign in with a one-time code sent to your phone, sessions are kept per device and end on the device you sign out of. Access to your data is limited to people authorised to operate the service.
6. Cookies and tracking
The mobile app does not use cookies. This website uses no cookies, advertising or analytics tools.
7. Children’s privacy
Vesile is intended only for adults aged 18 and over. We do not allow anyone under 18 to create an account or use the app, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Details: Child Safety Standards.
8. Deleting your account
You can delete your account in the app under Profile > Settings > Delete Account. What is deleted and the retention periods are listed on the Delete account page.
9. Information notice under KVKK
This section informs you as required by Article 10 of Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK).

- Identity: name, birth date, gender
- Contact: phone number, e-mail address when you sign in with Google
- Visual and audio records: profile photos, voice introduction, voice messages
- Personality and preference data: survey answers, psychometric profile, preferences
- Location: device location
- User activity: matches, messages, meetings, feedback
- Customer transactions: subscription and store transaction information
- Transaction security: session, device and push token records, reports
- Special category data: only if you choose to verify, biometric data processed when your selfie is compared with your profile photo

Method of collection
Data is collected electronically, by automated means, through the forms and surveys you fill in, the files you upload, device permissions (location, camera, microphone, notifications) and your use of the app.
Transfers, including abroad
Data is transferred only to the providers listed in section 4 for the stated purposes, and to competent authorities where the law requires it. These providers’ servers may be located outside Turkey; such transfers rely on the appropriate safeguards of Article 9 of KVKK (standard contracts) or on your explicit consent.
Retention
- Account and profile data: as long as your account is open.
- When you delete your account: immediately for deletion in the app, within 30 days at the latest for e-mail requests.
- If a suspended (banned) or frozen account is deleted: not the phone number itself, only a digest of it made with a secret key (HMAC-SHA256) is kept; without the key the number cannot be derived from it, and the digest is not linked to the account. It stops someone deleting the account and signing up again with the same number to escape the sanction. How long: with no end for a banned account, until the freeze ends for a frozen one; expired digests are deleted daily. No other account deletion keeps anything of the number.
- System backups: when the backup cycle completes, within 90 days at most.
- Transaction records kept for legal reasons: anonymised so they contain no personal information, for up to 6 months.
- Verification selfie: after verification, as long as your account is open.
Your rights under Article 11 of KVKK
By applying to the data controller you may:
- Learn whether your personal data is processed
- Request information about the processing
- Learn the purpose of processing and whether data is used accordingly
- Know the third parties in Turkey or abroad to whom data is transferred
- Request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data
- Request erasure or destruction under the conditions of Article 7 of KVKK
- Request that correction, erasure or destruction be notified to those third parties
- Object to an outcome against you that results from analysis exclusively by automated systems
- Claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing
Send your request to vesile@codexit.io with your registered phone number. We answer free of charge within 30 days at the latest (KVKK Art. 13). You may withdraw a consent at any time; this does not affect processing before the withdrawal.

We may update this policy from time to time. You will be notified of significant changes in the app.
